ACA Level 4 Instructor Certification Course

Part 1: Instructor Development Workshop

June 9-11
This hands-on workshop focuses on developing strong instructional skills while refining paddling technique, communication, leadership, risk management, and rescue proficiency. Candidates will receive coaching and feedback designed to prepare them for success as confident, competent Class II instructors.

Part 2: Instructor Certification Exam

June 12-13
The second weekend serves as the formal certification assessment. Candidates will demonstrate their ability to effectively teach, paddle, and perform rescues in a Class II whitewater environment.

This course is ideal for paddlers looking to upgrade a current ACA certification or pursue instructor certification for the first time.
