Paddle. Explore. Belong.
The Roaring Fork Kayaking Club’s Kids Camp is more than just a week on the water. It's an invitation to grow confidence, build friendships, and deepen respect for wild places through the power of paddling.
Whether your child is new to kayaking, just starting out, or has been paddling for a while, this beginner-friendly day camp is designed to foster multiple ability levels and nurture a lifelong love of rivers. Guided by experienced instructors, campers will gain essential paddling and river safety skills while exploring local waterways, learning to read moving water, and building trust in themselves and in each other.

💙 Scholarships & Sliding Scale
We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of kayaking, regardless of financial circumstance. Thanks to the generous support of First Bank, we offer a limited number of need-based scholarships for our Kids Kayak Camps.
If camp tuition is a financial stretch, we invite you to request:
-
A full or partial scholarship, or
-
Use our sliding scale option to contribute what works for your family.
There’s no long application process- we trust families to choose the level of support that feels right.

"Nanette, our 10 year old daughter, had the privilege to attend a kayaking camp for youth last summer. As with many kids at this exploratory age, we weren’t entirely sure how she would engage with this new activity. Of the soccer, swimming, basketball and dance programs Nanette has been involved in, her curiosity with kayaking surpassed them all. She came away from each day of participation with excitement, confidence in a new skillset and a camaraderie we had not seen. Her comfort with the river was immediately noticeable, even playful. We are thrilled to have participated and would love to see this program available to other youth in the future." - Joy, Kids Camp 2025 Parent
