Pool Clinics
Pool Clinics are back for 2026!​​

Pool Clinics are on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm at the Glenwood Recreation Center from January 22nd through May 28th. It's a fun atmosphere and geared to paddlers of all ages and all levels, whether you are just getting into a kayak for your very first time, learning to roll, or even practicing your flat water cartwheel, the pool clinics are a great way to learn and practice these skills and connect to the broader Roaring Fork valley boating community.
Each Session is for two Thursdays. When you sign up, please be ready to commit to coming for two weeks in a row. That will help solidify the new skills you are learning.
We have kayaks, lifejackets, helmets, sprayskirts and paddles for you to use. If you have your own, we do encourage you to bring your own, just so you can be used to using your own gear, but you are more than welcome to use ours!

Payment for clinic-
The sessions cost $60 for non-members, and only $25 for club members. Click Here to Become a Member. This covers two Thursday night clinics. We want kayaking to be accessible to everyone, so if the cost is a barrier, please let us know if you'd like a scholarship by filling out this form.

​​For brand new boaters, these pool clinics are the best way to get into kayaking. You can learn a ton there, and, when you are ready, you can take it to the river. Come meet up with our experienced, ACA certified instructors as they walk you through the basics of whitewater kayaking, paddling techniques, and boating safety. If you are up for it, you can work on rolling your kayak as well!
All of our participants improve their knowledge of kayaking skills and receive individualized feedback. Our goal is to have participants leaving clinics with the interest, skills, and information needed to feel comfortable and confident paddling a kayak and safely exploring our local rivers with us in the summer, as well as feeling more connected to the local boating community.
